Getting started
Please complete the enquiry form below. Please note all starred* fields are mandatory. However, if you are under 18 years of age, then I need to know your parent’s or
guardian’s details. If your parent or guardian is going to be paying for the tuition, then I need to know their details whether you are over 18 or not.
You should also state any preferred dates/times for the online tuition sessions to take place. Sometimes it can be helpful to know which school or college you are studying at.
Under normal conditions you will receive a response from me within 12 hours advising
whether I believe I can help you and proposing a date/time for contact. Where your
parent or guardian will be paying for the sessions, then my e-
Once an appointment has been made, you must purchase your first session at least 30 minutes before it is due to start. A single session is 1 hour and costs £25. You should pay using the PayPal button below.
Clicking on the button takes you to a secure PayPal page where you can make your purchase either through your PayPal account (if you have one) or with any one of the credit/debit cards shown below.
Before buying, please read my Terms of Business -
The £25 fee includes marking assignments when given and liaison with the contracting parent or guardian re progress and any concerns. (In the occasional instances where tutees pay for themselves, the fee also covers discussion on progress additional to the hour’s tutorial.)
Allowing at least 30 minutes from time of purchase, phone me -
The first session
You should be prepared for this, with pen, paper, text book and/or other key resources you use, and you should have my web site loaded on your computer so that I can direct you to pertinent pages on it.
The initial phase of the first session will be to establish clearly what you need
and to agree a Programme of Work -
The initial phase is also the opportunity for you, the tutee, to ask me any questions about how the sessions will be run and to make any specific requests.
The second part of the first session will be concerned with beginning to look at the first topic you wish to cover.
Further sessions
All sessions should be purchased at least 30 minutes before they are due to commence. At the end of each session I will mail a receipted invoice to the person who has paid for it.
It is the responsibility of the tutee to initiate the session by phoning me.
Assignments may be given in between sessions. You should endeavour to complete these within the agreed timeframe.
Should you need to cancel or reschedule a session, failure to inform me at least 12 hours in advance will render you liable to a cancellation fee of £12 (£10+VAT@20%). Subject to your mitigating circumstances, I reserve the
right to waive the cancellation fee at my discretion and without prejudice to my rights.
If I need to reschedule a session, I will make my best endeavours to let you know at least 12 hours in advance.

The evening before an exam I usually make myself available for students to phone me with any last minute queries or concerns. This is a free service.
